History
The Centre, which is located in Chai Wan, has started services since August 2011. The Centre aims at providing high-quality and professional services for elders with dementia and their caregivers, in order to delay elders’ deterioration and release caregivers’ burden.
To thank for generous donation of Sai Ying Pun Market Fresh Fish Merchants’ Association for supporting on centre’s operating cost, the Centre has named after the Association since 2020.
Objective
- To enhance elders’ self-care ability, to improve their quality of life;
- To reduce caregivers’ burden and enhance their caring skills;
- To arouse public concern and awareness on dementia;
- To identify elders with dementia symptoms and provide early intervention.
Facilities
The centre is air-conditioned and equipped with independent restrooms and bathrooms. Other facilities and equipments include training area, dining room, nursing room, physiotherapy treatment area, pantry and equipment Set for "Physical and Mental Activated Therapy"
Service Recipients
- Aged 55 or above;
- Elders with mild cognitive impairment and their caregivers; or
- Elders with dementia and their caregivers.
