History

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to the Hong Kong community and spiked the unemployment and underemployment rate, leading to rising demand for food assistance service. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust approved a HK$450 million donation to launch the “Jockey Club Food Assistance Programme” (“JCFAP”) to collaborate with six NGOs and business partners to provide 4 to 52 weeks of food assistance for approximately 126,000 persons who are facing financial hardship through a variety of innovative initiatives. JCFAP is more than a food assistance programme. It aims at promoting a healthy lifestyle by providing the service recipients with healthy food choices and health information that are recommended by registered nutritionists. The project targets to offer customised health management solutions for all individuals.
