Wing Yin Hostel

History

Wing Yin Hostel, which commenced operation in October 1999, is the first girls’ residential service under Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. Wing Yin Hostel renders care and supervision to girls who need help in their adolescence development by adopting a non-confined mode of operation. Girls can receive adequate care and develop their potentials under a warm and home-like atmosphere of the hostel.

Objective

With an aim of supporting and guiding the girls in care back onto the right track of life, we provide residential care, therapeutic group, career guidance and counseling service to help them to:

• Build up their self-confidence, self-esteem and sense of responsibility;
• Set up life goals for their future;
• Develop a healthy and positive character, stable emotions and proper behavior;
• Develop their independent living skills;
• Improve their interpersonal relationships and to reconcile with family.

TV room, fitness equipment, TV games, chess, sports equipment, Karaoke, musical instruments

Services Recipients

Girls aged 12 to 21 who exhibit problems in emotions and behaviors in their adolescence development or whose families are unable to provide adequate care and supervision to them.
