History
TWGHs CareWise, located in Tai Kok Tsui, is the first specialized carer support center under the Community Services Division of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. The center began offering services in October 2023 and officially opened to the public in May 2024, providing one-stop specialized support services for carers.
Objectives
TWGHs CareWise provides essential and appropriate support for carers, aiming to alleviate their caregiving pressures and promote their physical and mental well-being. Through one-stop service support, carers can save time in finding suitable services, allowing them to focus more on caring for the elderly. Additionally, the Centre connects with other community care service units to build a comprehensive support network for carers, working together to support, learn, and relax.
Facilities
The Centre offers an elegant and comfortable environment with comprehensive facilities. The center is equipped with a coffee machine, consultation room, training room, room for group activities and carer lounge, providing spaces for relaxation, communication, and learning. Additionally, the center features advanced fitness and rehabilitation equipment, treatment beds, and physiological equipment to help carers maintain their physical health. For those experiencing pain due to caregiving, professional assessments and treatment services are available. These facilities aim to reduce caregiving stress and promote the overall well-being of carers.
