History
The Centre, which is located on the 1/F of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Fong Shu Chuen Social Service Building, was opened in October 1999.
In order to thank for generous donation of Fong Shu Fook Tong Fundation, the Building was thereby named as Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Fong Shu Chuen Social Service Building and the Centre as Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Fong Shu Chuen Integrated Centre for the Elderly.
Since 1 April 2004, it was upgraded to "Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Fong Shu Chuen District Elderly Community Centre" to provide expanded functions and more comprehensive range of support services for elders and their carers.
Objective

To encourage elders to lead an active life, make good use of their leisure time and develop their full potentials, so as to actualize the spirit of "productive ageing".

To help elders resolve personal, family and other problem they encountered in daily life and to help them make good use of community resources.

To provide community support services for elder carers.

To promote better understanding , respect and care towards the elders through community education programmes.
Service Description
Sustained Learning Activities
To provide life-long learning opportunities for the elders through a wide variety of interest and educational courses to further develop their potentials.
Facilities
The leisure activities room is equipped with television and videos, magazines and newspapers, physical equipments, computers, internet service, lending of carer resources, etc.
Service Recipients
Elders aged 60 or above, their carers and the community at large who are living in the Shaukeiwan District.
