History
Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Shuen Wan Complex for the Elderly comprises Pao Siu Loong Care and Attention Home (Phase I), Wu York Yu Care and Attention Home (Phase II) and Wu Chiang Wai Fong Care and Attention Home (Phase III).
The Home commenced operation in June 1985 and has a total floor area of about 3,100 sq. m. Apart from the support of the Social Welfare Department, a generous donation of $1 million was received from SIR Yuk-kong PAO in support of the capital cost of the Home. In recognition of the benevolence of SIR Yuk-kong PAO, the Home was named after his late father as "Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Pao Siu Loong Care and Attention Home" in1995.
Objective
The Home is committed to providing quality service in accommodation, personal care and nursing care to elderly who have weak health and have limited self-care ability. Through the provision of professional services, diversified activities and adequate facilities under a homely environment, the residents are believed to receive holistic care by leading a meaningful and dignified living in the Home.

Environment
The Pao Siu Loong Care and Attention Home is a purpose-built two-storeyed building which is situated at a lush scenic land at Sam Mun Tsai with the Plover Cove Reservoir in close proximity and enjoying a panoramic view of Pat Sin Leng. It is fully air-conditioned, homely furnished, with a therapeutic sensory garden and tranquil courtyard, as well as ample visitors carpark.
Bedrooms
There are 25 residential units (bedrooms) and each bedroom accommodates 3 to 8 residents with self-contained bathroom and toilet with night light. Individual bedside table, wardrobe, reading light and call bell are also provided.
Other Facilities
Physiotherapy Room, Occupational Therapy Room, Nurse Duty Rooms, Sensory Training Room, Reminiscence Corner, Sitting Area, Dining Rooms, Club Rooms, Activity Rooms, Laundry, Centre Kitchen and Central Dispensary.
Service Recipients
Elders aged 65 or above who lacks self-care ability due to poor health or illness, free from contagious disease and mentally suitable for communal living.
Those aged between 60-64 with proven needs can also apply. |
