History

The TWGHs Jockey Club Sunshine Complex for the Elderly, the building redeveloped from the TWGHs David Trench Home for the Elderly, was constructed and commenced services in 2016 with the generous donation of 123.68 million from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and with the funding support of 298.59 million from the Social Welfare Department. This nine-storey Complex comprises a subsidized residential home namely the Jockey Club Harmony Villa and two non-profit making centres namely the Jockey Club Blissful Villa and Jockey Club Blissful Day Care Centre.

Service Objective

The Home is committed to providing quality service in accommodation, personal care and nursing care to those elderly who are weak and with limited self-care ability. Through the provision of professional services, diversified activities and adequate facilities under a homely, comfortable and healthy environment, we wish the residents to receive holistic care as well as to enjoy a meaningful and dignified living in the Home.

Environment
The Home is located at Brick Hill enjoying a scenic view of Shum Wan with beautiful natural surroundings. It is fully air-conditioned, homely furnished, with a therapeutic sensory garden and tranquil courtyard, CCTV operating at all entrances as well as visitor carpark.

Bedrooms

6-person rooms with self-contained toilet and bathroom or 4-person rooms with shared toilet and bathroom are provided with night light. Individual bedside table, wardrobe, reading light and call bell are also provided.

Service Recipients

Elders aged 65 or above who lacks self-care ability due to poor health or illness, free from contagious disease and mentally suitable for communal living.

Those aged between 60-64 with proven needs can also apply.
