History
Hui Mok Tak Yu Care and Attention Home commenced operation in May 1996. In recognition of a generous donation of $6 million from Dr. HUI Wai-haan, MBE, towards Tung Wah for establishing this home, it was named after Dr. HUI's late mother.
Objective
The Home is committed to providing quality service in accommodation, personal care and nursing care to elderly who have weak health and have limited self-care ability. Through the provision of professional services, diversified activities and adequate facilities under a homely environment, the residents are believed to receive holistic care by leading a meaningful and dignified living in the Home.
Facilities
Environment
The Home located in the Sheung Wan District and adjacent to Tung Wah Hospital, the Home is easily accessible by public transport. It is a 5-storeyed premises with the first four levels designed for residence and the fifth level is a landscaped podium. The Home is also provided with air-conditioning and heating facilities as well as lift service.
Bedrooms
Each bedroom is equipped with self-contained showers and toilets.
Other facilities
Sitting room, dining room, nurse duty room cum sick-bay, physiotherapy room, occupational therapy room, multi-sensory therapy room, reminiscence corner, interview room, club room, kitchen and laundry.
Service Recipients
Elders aged 65 or above who lacks self-care ability due to poor health or illness, free from contagious disease and mentally suitable for communal living.
Those aged between 60-64 with proven needs can also apply. |
