The 3rd Elderly Care Service Employee Awards (2016/2017)



The Elderly Services Association of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Employment Development Services jointly organized “The 3rd Elderly Care Service Employee Awards” to commend the frontline and professional staff with outstanding performance in order to enhance the image of the elderly services industry and practitioners. The organizer received 280 nominations of staff from 130 service agencies to select the winners of awards including 12 numbers of "Outstanding Employee Awards" and 38 numbers of “Excellent Employee Awards ". The award ceremony was held on 22 April 2017, in which 3 and 8 staff from our Elderly Services Units were awarded the "Outstanding Employee Awards" and “Excellent Employee Awards" respectively. Moreover, Ms. Lam Siu King, an Enrolled Nurse from Po Chung Chuen Ying Home for the Elderly, was awarded one of the two “Merit Awards". In addition to the 12 staff awards, the Wilson T.S. Wang District Elderly Community Centre was awarded the “Manpower Developer Award” & “Active Participation Award”. They participated in the nomination of staff in the past three years and there was staff successfully selected as awardee in two of the years.
